As the cast finish off the European leg of this landmark tour, they will make an exclusive appearance on the stage of the Clayton on Burlington Road, Ballsbridge to perform for the 400 guests present from the worlds of business, media and entertainment and the hardworking medics who devote their lives to helping people with Cystic Fibrosis.
Julian Benson said: “As everyone knows I am all about bringing the pizazz and sparkle to proceedings so I am beyond thrilled to announce that Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance troupe will be performing at this year’s Winter Wonderland Gala Ball! This truly is a not-to-be-missed performance, and I am so grateful to Michael, Niamh, all the cast and crew of Lord of the Dance for their support on what is set to be a very special and important night for the Julian Benson CF Foundation, so thank you from the bottom of my heart – no one can do cha-cha-boom quite like you do!”
The addition of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance is the icing on the cake of a stellar line-up of entertainment at Winter Wonderland Gala Ball. Award-winning percussion ensemble Extreme Rhythm Dancers, Fly Youth Dance Company, aerial artist Lisette Krol, Galway City Chamber Choir, Bello Duo and The Honeydews will all enthral the audience on the night. There will also be an injection of 1950s glamour on the night with another exquisite dance performance from The Blonde Bombshell – a reflection of the life of Hollywood superstar Marilyn Monroe.
Julian Benson, one of Ireland’s leading talent agents and choreographers, is delighted to bring back this annual event after its two-year hiatus during the pandemic. The night promises to be a magical affair, and includes a champagne cocktail reception, a four-course meal, incredible auction prizes, entertainment and dancing until late all in aid of the Julian Benson CF Foundation. The Julian Benson CF Foundation was founded in 2018 to provide much needed support and respite to people with CF and their families. Since the charity’s inception Julian has worked tirelessly to raise funds for an accommodation facility for families of people with CF during times of hospitalisation, as he knows first-hand the needs and challenges that people suffering with CF and their families must face. This year, the charity received its Triple Lock Status which demonstrates openness, transparency and integrity to beneficiaries and donors – a status which only 109 charities currently have in Ireland.
